The Kenya Institute of Special Education (KISE) recently hosted the KISE Expo 2024, focusing on assistive devices and specialized learning materials for individuals with disabilities. Held at KISE’s headquarters in Kasarani, Nairobi, this event aimed to raise awareness about the critical role assistive technologies play in enhancing the independence and inclusion of people with disabilities.

The expo showcased innovations in assistive devices and learning tools, with participants including manufacturers, innovators, educators, and policymakers. The theme for this year’s expo was “Affordable and Accessible Specialized Learning Materials, Assistive Devices, and Technology,” which underlined the importance of making these tools more available and cost-effective. SEP participated in this event, many visitors passed the stand and the team was giving explanation and demonstrations.
